STU: On Antimicrobial Resistance Spreading

College of Health and Medical Technologies, Southern Technical University organized a symposium on the spreading of antimicrobial resistance, the Faculty Member in the College, Dr. KhairAllah Abdul Samad said. Dr. Abdul Samad added that the symposium reviewed antimicrobials, the reasons that led to the increase in spreading of antimicrobial resistance and the effects of this phenomenon on community, health sectors and economic development. Dr. Abdul Samad continued by saying that the symposium highlighted the types of antibiotics, their methods of action and the causes of microbial resistance to them. It is worth mentioning that the symposium recommended demonstrating the methods that must be adopted to limit the spread of microbial resistance to antibiotics and emphasizing the importance of having action plans at the national level to combat the phenomenon of antimicrobial resistance.

Mosul University’s Student Online Conference

During the Student Online Conference, College of Law, University of Mosul reviewed e-learning, the positives of e-learning, the right to e-learning for students, the requirements for its success, its legal dimensions and the importance of the electronic platforms that support it.

The online conference highlighted the standards for controlling the quality of e-learning in Higher Education’s Institutions and its effectiveness in light of the Coronavirus conditions and the protection of intellectual property rights.

The online conference recommended providing material support to adopt e-learning, finding solutions to technical obstacles facing its effectiveness in the Iraqi Universities, spreading technical culture among students and developing creative thinking.
